"The alumni scholarship means so much to me. I’m a junior nursing student and a single mother balancing family, school, and work—with an income below the poverty line. Nursing is my dream career because I enjoy helping people. The courses are demanding, so I cannot work more than a part-time job. If not for the alumni scholarship, I don’t know how I would pay for school.
