May 30 is the deadline for nominations for the Ram Award and the Honorary Alumnus Award. The Ram Award recognizes an individual who has unselfishly dedicated his or her efforts toward the betterment of the Alumni Association and/or the University as a whole, for a minimum of 25 years. The Honorary Alumnus Award recognizes a non-alumnus who has made extraordinary efforts to advance the goals of the University and the Alumni Association.

Calling all golfers! Online registration is now available for the upcoming Alumni Golf Tournament, which will be held on Monday, June 2, at Valley County Club in Warwick. Enjoy your favorite game with fellow alumni and friends, and help support student scholarships!

The Alumni Association sponsors the Alumni Children Academic Excellence Scholarships, which are awarded to six alumni children each year on the basis of their academic achievement for the previous year. All credits and grades must be earned at the University of Rhode Island. Application deadline is June 6, 2008.
