Student Alumni Association

The URI Student Alumni Association (SAA) was founded in 1985. SAA members act as ambassadors for the Alumni Association on campus. The mission of the Student Alumni Association is to generate school spirit among students, provide students with information about the Alumni Association, and keep the Alumni Association informed about developments on campus. SAA activities include:

orange arrow Providing volunteers for alumni events, such as Homecoming and the Winter Gala
orange arrow Selecting and training students who represent URI as Rhody the Ram at sports and civic events
orange arrow Providing Student Survival Kits--care packages to be delivered to students during exam time 
orange arrow Bolstering school spirit by organizing events such as Midnight Madness and Oozeball
orange arrow Representing URI in the community through a variety of volunteer efforts.


orange arrow How to Join the Student Alumni Association
SAA membership is limited to 50 students each year. Students interested in becoming SAA members are asked to complete an application by the deadline date at the beginning of each academic year. Those selected as finalists will have a personal interview.
