Tableaux Vivant Color Photography by Jane Calvin. The Chicago-based feminist artist stresses that she ”makes” rather than ”takes” photographs: “I am a maker of meaning, not an observer of it. My images are elliptical, digressive, fragmented, layered, and expansive.”

March 21-April 24

Playing to an Empty House by Lilla Samson. Features finely nuanced studies of the natural world, both painted and drawn. Samson is an instructor in two-dimensional design, drawing, and printmaking. March 23, noon: Gallery talk by the artist.

April 27-May 22

Portraits of Unborn Revolutionaries by Ron Hutt. The artist describes this project as a “digitally mediated channeling of the portraits of unborn revolutionaries who will change global society and culture and impact the sustainability of life on this planet.” Ron Hutt, assistant professor of art, is a founding member of the 3-D Group for Interactive Visualization. Beginning April 27, an interactive NetArt Web site is available at www.ronhutt.org. May 3, noon: Gallery talk by the artist.
