The Chicago-based feminist artist stresses that she ”makes” rather than ”takes” photographs: “I am a maker of meaning, not an observer of it. My images are elliptical, digressive, fragmented, layered, and expansive.” CORRIDOR GALLERY Daily 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Features works by Art Department faculty and guests. March 21-April 24 Playing to an Empty House by Lilla Samson. Features finely nuanced studies of the natural world, both painted and drawn. Samson is an instructor in two-dimensional design, drawing, and printmaking. March 23, noon: Gallery talk by the artist. April 27-May 22 Portraits of Unborn Revolutionaries by Ron Hutt. The artist describes this project as a “digitally mediated channeling of the portraits of unborn revolutionaries who will change global society and culture and impact the sustainability of life on this planet.” Ron Hutt, assistant professor of art, is a founding member of the 3-D Group for Interactive Visualization.
