February 5-March 7 Color, Time and Space: Photographs by Stephen Lawson An extraordinary color photographer, Lawson’s images have been described as ”sculpting the materials of time and space.” He is based in West Virginia and works in Scotland and the U.S. March 23-May 4 Canadians at Home and Abroad: A Cross-Border Conversation Two contemporary Canadian photographers, Jack MacAulay, who lives in Ontario, and Craig Varjabedian, who lives in New Mexico, explore the natural and man-made landscape. Complements the theme of the annual convention of the Society of Photographic Education, which takes place this year in Newport, R.I. December 16-January 18 Solstice: Works on Paper by Ruth Ann Howden and Joyce Sakala Timed to coincide with the period of winter solstice, this exhibition combines the work of two Rhode Island artists with individual aesthetic sensibilities who are guided by the same sources. January 20-March 5 Coast Lines: New Works on Paper by Barbara Pagh Pagh is widely recognized for her imaginative printmaking inspired by the natural world, especially the boundaries of land and ocean.
